Discover the history of Greek painting through the collection of the National Gallery

The collection in the renovated building of the National Gallery covers a timespan of about four centuries.

Join us on a tour across the museum’s two floors and get to know the works of some of the greatest Greek painters from the 19th and 20th century, detect the Mediterranean light of Greek landscapes and the European influences, and learn about realism and symbols.

We equip ourselves with form, light and colour, composition and pigment, background and thematic levels, and learn how to analyze paintings!
